Silent Auction

The Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBEC-West) is seeking auction items for our 15th Annual WBEC-West Strategic Procurement Opportunity Conference, September 10-12, 2018 at HYATT Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa, in California. Last year, we had more than 375 women and over 95 corporate attendees at this prestigious event and we look forward to even more this year.

Our annual event provides Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) and other small business owners the opportunity to attend educational workshops designed to help grow their business, matchmakers with our corporate partners and networking opportunities with conference participants.

Donating an item is a great way to gain recognition and exposure for your company to your target audience. It also guarantees exposure to hundreds of businesses and may be tax deductible. The visibility opportunities for your business include, your company name listed on the event website, in the online program, in the auction-blasts as well as any pre-event auction advertising and on the bid cards at the event. We need your help to make this year a success.  The proceeds from the auction will continue to be used to further business opportunities for women owned businesses through education, training services.

To ensure that the auction achieves it goals, WBEC-West is looking for items that generate excitement, great interest and great bids.

The best items to donate are items that you would be excited to bid on yourself. 

Items that have been successful in the past are:

  • Trips
  • Airline Vouchers
  • Hotel Stays

 

  • Wine
  • Jewelry
  • Handbags

 

  • Gift Cards
  • Money
  • Packages (i.e. Spas, theme parks, date night, etc.)

Anything that you would bid on!

There are two ways to fill out the donation information; you can fill out the online form by clicking here, or by emailing the information to elizabeth@wbec-west.org. If you email the information, please provide the following information:

  • Item Name
  • Description (*important: this will be what is used in the auction pamphlet and on the bid/chance to win sheets)
  • Item Value
  • Your contact information.

WBEC-West has established these simple rules to help meet our goals:

  • There is a minimum value of $25 for any gift cards submitted
  • Physical items must be shippable. Please provide the tracking information for items that you have shipped to us.
  • Contributions for consulting or other services cannot be accepted.
  • Discount certificates, which require an initial purchase of a certain amount, will not be accepted.
  • WBEC-West reserves the right to create packages by combining donated items for either the auction or the chance to win.
  • No perishable items

Our deadline for your auction item descriptions is no later than August 31, 2018 by 9 a.m. in order to be included in the auction blast. 

Physical auction items and description along with the value of each item must be received no later than September 5, 2018 to be included in the auction. Thank you in advance for your consideration and support.
